Dear Skiers and Snowboarders,

Lets Talk About Snow!

SnowBrains and OpenSnow just ranked Kissing Bridge as one of the top 5 spots in North America for snowfall this week! We are luckin’ out, and we are blowing as much snow as possible to open up more of the resort than years past this coming weekend - including North at 3pm at January 17. It’s a testament to the incredible snowmaking effort our team has shown this year and that sacrifices they have made in the name of FUN.

If you haven’t yet, now’s the time to take advantage of these amazing conditions. Enjoy more laps, fewer lines, and the magic of KB while it’s still a hidden gem.

Mid-Season Ticket Options

Keep an eye out for creative mid-season ticket offerings. These are designed to help more people—especially those who don’t usually ski KB—experience all the resort has to offer.

🎟️ Unlimited Season Pass: Hit the slopes anytime for just $540 (adult) $480 (junior)—no limits, all the fun!

🎓 College Students: Your wish is granted—a $200 Night Season Pass just for you! 🕶️ Ride  under the lights with proof of a current college ID and class schedule.

🏂 Park Riders: We’ve got you covered too! Shred the park with a Coal Chute-only ticket for just $35.

Now That We Got the Fun Stuff Out of the Way

The Four Pillars of the New Kissing Bridge

I wanted to share how I see Kissing Bridge and would love your feedback on how you see Kissing Bridge as we build it back to the place everyone once went on the weekends.

  1. Recreation (Year-Round):
KB is evolving into a four-season destination. From skiing and snowboarding to mountain biking, hiking, and off-season events, we’re here to deliver adventure in every season.
  2. Art:
We envision KB as a creative hub with live music, murals, discovery-based art, and pop-up exhibits celebrating the rich culture of Western New York.
  3. Wellness:
Our plans for wellness focus on relaxation with mental and physical health through community-supported programs as well as unique offerings not readily available in the region - we’ll keep that in our back pocket for now. KB will be your space to unwind and recharge amid our stunning surroundings.
  4. Community:
The essence of KB is connection. Whether it’s sharing a chairlift, meeting friends at the Willie’s, or gathering at events, we’re committed to fostering a sense of belonging.

Our Three Priorities for the 2024/2025 Season

Since beginning this journey to revitalize KB, we’ve maintained focus on three critical priorities. While we can’t do everything at once, we’re committed to excelling in these areas:

  1. Snowmaking:
Snowmaking is the backbone of the winter side of the resort. This year, we invested significantly in snowmaking infrastructure, and you’ve seen the results. Next year, we’ll continue expanding and improving so KB’s runs remain predictably open all season long.
  2. Food & Beverage:
We believe in our amazing Food & Beverage team. As we grow the team, we’ll open more food areas and aim to have Willie’s open year-round. Expanding thoughtfully allows us to maintain quality and deliver a sustainable F&B program.
  3. Technology and Infrastructure:
Changing ticketing and resort software mid-season isn’t typical, but it was necessary. While disruptive at first, the system is already streamlining the experience. Now you can head straight to the lift or get to rentals and ski school faster. We’re still working out the kinks and appreciate your patience as we fine-tune the process.

Testing, Learning, and Growing

We’re not afraid to try new things at KB. Some experiments may not yield perfect results, but even setbacks guide us toward what works best. Sustainable growth means embracing innovation, learning from challenges, and continuously improving.

Acknowledging the Journey

Let’s be honest: the road may feel bumpy before it smooths out. Big changes take time, and while we know everything isn’t perfect, the team and I are giving it our all to bring you the new KB. I’ve asked a lot of our staff to trust in this process, and their dedication has been incredible.

We know there are challenges—like limited food and beverage options and delays in fully operational bars. We’re following New York State regulations and expect to have a full liquor license this season. For now, you can enjoy drinks Fridays through Sundays and on holidays via event permits, along with food from KB Express and our partner vendors.

Keeping It Local, Keeping It Buffalo

I’ll admit it: I’m not from Buffalo. I’m a Californian—yes, the land of kale smoothies. And Buffalo? Wings, winters, and the Bills! While I’m an outsider, I’m here because I believe in this place. I couldn’t let KB’s story end.

We’re building a future that honors KB’s legacy while embracing fresh ideas. And yes, feel free to poke fun at me for being a Californian.

Thank You

Thank you for your patience, your support, and your passion for this hill. KB has always been about the people and the community, and together, we’re building something truly special.

If you see me on the hill, come say hi—or better yet, share a lift ride. I’d love to hear your thoughts.

Here’s to more exciting things ahead.

Cheers,

Rhett McNulty
